FOUR OUR STUDENTS!

Practicing every day means progress and victory. It does not matter that you do not feel it, you should belive that the progress is happening. Another important secret is that there will be days when you are tired and not in the mood and it is on those days when you will feel how easy you are playing. Learning music is a road that is sometimes easy and full of sunshine but rain and wind at other times. The important thing is that you are mowing along and ahead.
Trust your teacher and be honest with your work. If you don't understand something, ask about it. Do not just sit and not thinking that you'll go home and figure out it out. Your teacher are there to help you succeed but you do have to do your part and practice carefully and do your homework
HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I SPENT IN PRACTICING ?
I f you are preparing for a professional career then you need to practise every day for more than two hours.
If you you are practicing for your own development, then you should practice about 40 minutes everyday. It is not only important how much time you practice but how you practice. You could spend two hours practicing but not learn anything.
On the other hand, 15 minutes spent focused on difficult parts of a piece could yield great results. Quality over quantity is what matters.
You should choose the time for regular piano lessons while taking into account the peculiarities of their schedule, working hours and rest!

A note to the parents!
How to help your child successfully practice a musical instrument.
1
It is important to have a high quality instrument.
2
Regularly attend classes because consistency and labor bring tremendous results and a sense of confidence in the child.
3
Sometimes you need to attend classes, especially in the beginning.
4
Give the child a room with an instrument so they practice without being disturbed.
5
Select a specific time of day when you are child is most capable for practicing.
6
Instead of setting a timeline, set a goal that is not related to time. For example, instead of practicing 30 minutes a day, say: "Today's goal is to play correctly only two lines." If the child concentrates and sees the results of the correct play they will be more motivated to play.
7
Be positive and periodically encourage your child. Show your friends a video or photo of your child performing or just learning a piece. Help them see in themselves the ability and talent for music. Say; "I see you are trying hard. Every day you are getting better and better! Try to play without stopping! Good job, I am so proud of you!" Child has to feel your love and support always.

8
Remain involved in the learning process. Show that you love music and go to concerts. Ask the child to describe what they see and hear. Find out what they like and help develop the musical taste.
